Google Ads for window and door installers.
New windows and doors are high-value, considered purchases. People compare several quotes over weeks or months, so campaigns need to win the first enquiry, qualify it properly and stay visible while the customer decides.

Product, price, or problem.
By product
“Composite front doors”, “aluminium bifold doors”, “uPVC sash windows”, “French doors fitted”. Different products carry different job values and different click prices, so they should not share a budget.
By price
“Cost of new windows for a 3 bed house”, “double glazing prices”. Early research, worth appearing for only if your page answers the question honestly.
By problem
“Misted double glazing”, “door lock broken”, “draughty windows”. Smaller repair jobs. Some firms want them and many do not, so we ask before including them.
Campaigns for a long, careful purchase.

01
Campaigns by product
Doors, windows, bifolds and repairs kept separate, so each gets the budget its job value justifies, and a landing page about that product.
-
02
Forms that qualify
Number of windows or doors, property type, rough timescale and postcode. Enough to tell a whole-house job from a single pane without putting people off.
-
03
Showroom or survey
If you have a showroom, its address and opening hours in the ads. If you survey at home, the ads say so and the form books it.
-
04
Staying visible
Where your cookie consent allows it, remarketing to people who visited but did not enquire. Few people choose windows on their first visit.
What makes a good window and door enquiry.
- The homeowner, or someone who can approve the work.
- A job size you want: a whole house, a set of doors, or a repair if you take them.
- Supply and fit, not supply only, unless supply only is something you sell.
- A timescale and budget that match how you work.
- Property details that matter: listed buildings and conservation areas can limit what can be fitted.
Where window and door budgets leak.
Click prices in this trade reward precision. These are the searches we exclude before they cost you money.
- Window cleaning, window film, blinds and shutters.
- DIY: replacement handles, seals, sealant and uPVC paint.
- Car windows, windscreens and garage doors, if you do not fit them.
- Supply-only and trade searches, if you only supply and fit.
- Jobs and training for window fitters.
- Brands you do not sell, when people search for them by name.
Worth saying in your ads
FENSA or Certass
Registration with a competent person scheme lets you certify that replacement windows meet Building Regulations in England and Wales. Homeowners need that certificate when they sell, so it is worth saying.
Guarantees and finance
Your guarantee terms, and finance if you are set up to offer it. Both change who enquires and what they expect.
Local Services Ads
Window services are an eligible category in the UK. Door fitting is not named on its own, so we check which job types Google offers you first. How we manage Local Services Ads.
Window and door questions.
Why do window and door clicks cost so much?
The jobs are valuable and many firms bid for the same searches. That makes it more important to exclude poor searches and qualify enquiries than to chase the cheapest clicks.
Should we show prices in our ads?
A realistic starting price can filter out people with a very different budget in mind. A price that turns out to be unrealistic does more harm than no price at all, and price claims in ads have to be accurate under the UK advertising rules.
Customers take months to decide. How do you judge the campaigns?
By enquiry quality first, because sales take time to close. Your feedback on which enquiries were genuine and which went to a quote lets us judge the campaigns long before the final orders come in.
