Google Ads for roofers.
Roofing demand jumps after storms and heavy rain, and much of it is urgent. Campaigns need to be ready for the spikes, keep repairs apart from full re-roofs, and stay away from searches for DIY fixes and roofing jobs.

Three kinds of roofing search, three different jobs.
Urgent repairs
“Roof leaking”, “emergency roofer near me”, “slipped tiles”, “storm damage roof repair”. A short decision, usually a phone call, and often won by the first roofer who answers.
Planned work
“New roof cost”, “flat roof replacement”, “fascias and soffits”, “chimney repointing”. Bigger jobs with several quotes and more questions, more often a form than a call.
Research
“How long does a roof last”, “do I need a new roof”. Rarely ready to book. We keep spend here low, or at nothing.

01
Repairs apart from re-roofs
Separate budgets, ads and hours. Repairs lean on calls; re-roofs and flat roofs lean on forms, with photos of work you have finished.
-
02
Storm readiness
Budgets and ads ready to raise when bad weather is forecast and bring back down afterwards, so you are visible when demand jumps without overspending in quiet weeks.

Areas your teams can reach
Roofing is local and labour-heavy. We target the places your teams can get to in a reasonable drive, not the whole county.

Proof on the page
Photos of finished roofs, your guarantee, trade body membership if you have it, and reviews. Customers cannot easily judge roof work, so proof carries weight.
What makes a good roofing enquiry.
These are the details we help you capture and check, so the campaigns can be steered towards more of the right ones.
- Inside your area, confirmed by postcode rather than a town name.
- Work you do: pitched, flat, chimney, roofline or repair.
- Someone who can approve it: the owner, landlord or managing agent.
- Clear on urgency: leaking now, or planning for later in the year.
- The right kind of job, for example not insurance work if you do not take it on.
Where roofing budgets leak.
Broad keywords like “roof” and “roofing” attract a surprising range of searches. These are the ones we exclude early.
- Roofing jobs, apprenticeships and courses.
- Materials for DIY repairs: felt, tiles, sealant and roof paint.
- Car roof boxes, roof racks and roof tents.
- “How to” and video searches from people fixing it themselves.
- Roof cleaning and moss removal, if you do not offer them.
- Towns that share a name with places far outside your area.
Local Services Ads: roofing is an eligible category in the UK. It suits urgent repair calls well, as long as someone answers, because Google can charge for missed calls during your opening hours. How we manage Local Services Ads.
Roofing questions.
Should roofers advertise for emergency work?
Only if you can answer the phone and get there quickly. Emergency callers tend to ring the next roofer if nobody picks up. If you can cover it, a separate emergency campaign with its own hours and budget stops it eating into the money for planned work.
Does roofing demand really follow the weather?
Urgent searches do: they jump after storms and heavy rain. Planned work such as re-roofs and roofline replacement is steadier. That is why we keep the two apart, so a wet week does not distort the whole account.
We mostly get work from word of mouth. Is Google Ads worth it?
It can fill the gaps between referrals, especially for the kinds of job you want more of. The campaign review will show what people search for in your area and roughly what those clicks cost, so you can decide before spending anything.
